Women's Self Defense and Blind Dates
|
A blind date can turn in to one of the most dangerous situations a woman finds herself in. Most of the time the “date” is arranged by a friend that we probably trust. We cannot help but have that expectation of “Maybe this is Mister Right”. Too often we throw caution to the wind and disregard the unpleasant possibilities that might happen if we don’t take the proper precautions. We always want to believe that something bad will not happen to us. Its’ human nature. It is always “the other person” that falls victim to a criminal and when we read about it in the newspaper we just shake our head and say “Boy, they should have known something like that could happen. Do yourself a favor and take a few minutes to finish reading this article. Sometimes we just have to be reminded. Too often things can go horribly wrong on a blind date. These methods include carrying personal protection products such as stun guns, TASERs and mace with you at all times. Blind dates are one of the most common ways to meet a new boyfriend. You might have a “friend”, that knows a “friend”, and then everything goes from there. The problem is that the “friend” that hooked you up for the blind date really didn’t know the person well and they might not even know their last name. When you go on a blind date you put yourself in a vulnerable situation, especially if you don’t double date and your blind date is the one driving. You must carry protection on you. It is important to understand women’s self defense so you have the opportunity to get away from a bad situation if he does turn out to be a dangerous person. Stun guns are an excellent product for women’s self defense. The way these work is that they send voltage through the body, which stops the impulses of the brain that make the body work, for a short period of time. These devices must be held against the person when you use them but they will immediately disable the attacker. The new TASER C2 is ideal for women’s self defense in that you can be 15 feet away from an attacker, use the TASER from there to incapacitate the assailant temporarily, and make your escape. Another excellent product for women’s self defense is pepper spray. There are many ways to protect yourself when you go on a blind date. These items could actually save your life.
