Work For A Moving Company.

How Does Working For A Moving Company Help You?

Working for a moving company is one job many people never even think of. But this could be an ideal job for you!

Do you have a full time, but seasonal job now? Like a school teacher? Or maybe you're a student, or school bus driver. All these jobs leave you with at least 3 months during the summer to pursue another job opportunity.

Moving companies are extremely busy during the summer months, and as a result they hire supplementary help for packing, loading, and moving. They also perform office moves and local moves.

So if you're healthy and willing to work, now is the time to get started. But let me just say, it is WORK, so be prepared. By reviewing our website, you can learn what is required to successfully land a job with a moving company.

If you would like to work as a packer, the first thing you need to know is how to properly make up a moving box. You must also become good with a tape gun (so practice!).

To make up a new moving carton, first hold it upright, then fold down the top flaps. They are connected with small tabs. Then square it up and turn it over. Now fold the bottom flaps in and secure the seam with 2-3 strips of tape. Extend the tape for 3-5 inches down each side. This will prevent the tape from letting loose. You now have a strong box to start filling. See the pictures on our website showing this process.

When packing, start with several sheets of newsprint crumpled up as a cushion. Then put heavy items on the bottom, and get lighter and lighter as you get to the top. Now finish with another layer of cushioning (crumpled newsprint, towels, bedding, etc.). EVERYTHING you put into the box will be paper-wrapped in at least one, but usually 2-3 sheets of newsprint to protect the items while being transported.

One important thing to remember is: The heavier the item, the smaller the box. Moving boxes come in many sizes, so learning what to put in each one will be of great help to you. There's not enough space here to list everything, so visit our site for (free) directions. It doesn't matter which size box you're filling, don't make it so heavy that nobody can lift it -- remember it DOES have to be loaded onto a truck or trailer! Another tip: Shake the box when you're finished packing it to be sure nothing rattles or shifts around inside. By packing tightly, it will travel much safer. Using plenty of newsprint will help prevent claims!

If any or all of this is something you'd like to explore further, please visit our website. This just could be the beginning of a whole new adventure for you. Remember "Everything happens for a reason". And this information could be YOUR start to YOUR profitable, happy, and steady FUTURE. GO THERE NOW!
