Wondering what exactly a magazine clutch purse is? Well that's the beauty of it! It's a purse that has been crafted from a magazine. It's truly about as unique and unusual as you can get.

The magazine used can be pretty much anything you choose and it's easy to make. In fact here's how.

Here's what you will need:1. A Magazine2. Neutral colored thread3. Scissors4. Utility knife5. Iron6. Heat N Bond7. Cording8. Grommets9. Plastic Coat

Here is what you need to do:1. Cut out the pages from the magazine that you want to use. Be careful so as not to tear the pages. You will need 2 big pieces for the front and back, 2 for the sides, and then 1 for the bottom.2. The front and back need to be 10" x 6", while the sides need to be 10" x 3", and the bottom needs to be 6" x 3".3. Cut your iron on adhesive into about a 2 inch strip and attach to the back of the pattern pieces.4. Leave one inch on each side of your magazine pieces so that you can more easily line things up for sewing.5. Line up your front pane with the interface side down. Then line up the both of the side pieces and sew together.6. Lastly attach the back panel.7. Now you need to line up the bottom with the edges of the other panels which you've already sewn. You may have to do some trimming to make everything line up and fit correctly.8. Figure out where the grommets will go on the sides of the bag. These are for the handle. Use your ribbon or cord to make your strap. To strengthen and make your magazine paper more durable there are a few things you can do. You can apply a layer of wood glue let dry until clear and repeat the process until you get the layer depth you want.

You can also use a product such as a plastic coat to provide a waterproof layer and a great shine. There are a variety of different products available at your local craft store. See which ones best for you.

That's it. You're all done and you know have this great magazine clutch purse that will stand you out in a crowd!
