Your Home Spa & Hot Tub

What do a spa, a hot tub, a sauna, and a message all have in common? Relaxation! Now we all know how wonderful it is to visit a spa and be pampered but that’s not always feasible so why not bring the spa home to you. It’s really quite easy!

Okay you can’t quite compete with a commercial spa, that much I’ll admit but think of the convenience of your mini spa right in your home to use as you wish to relax those aching muscles and wash the tension of the day away.

Let’s start with the massage. If you have a partner then take turns giving each other a message. Practice will turn you into a great masseuse. If there is not partner then you have other options. These days you can buy a wonderful back rest or heating bad with a vibrator in it. The vibration combined with heat will begin to relax your muscles in a short period of time. You can also buy a massaging shower head. Now that’s solved, lets move onto the sauna.

If you have a large enough house to accommodate a sauna you can purchase kits that all you need to do is assemble. Remember you can also place a sauna outside, perhaps beside your hot tub.

A hot tub is the most important element of your home spa. Hot tubs are available in many sizes and can be installed either inside or out. Most are fiberglass so they are easy to clean and maintain.

The massaging action of the jets is great for removing those aches and pains, and you’ll feel the tension melt away. You can set the hot tub as warm as you like but remember the warmer it is the shorter period of time you can spend in it. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids so that you do not become dehydrated.

If you are by yourself a two man hot tub is probably adequate. If you are a family or love to entertain a four man hot tub is perfect. Remember if your hot tub is outside regulations require you to have it behind a locked fence, usually 6 feet high but check with your local authorities. This is to ensure no child can gain access. If you have children of your own you’ll want to make sure they cannot access it from within.

I hear you grumbling but I live in a condo so I have no where to put a hot tube. Not to worry, that’s what whirlpool bath tubs where invented for. Here’s some trivia. In 1956 The Jacuzzi brothers invented the first pump that could be placed in a bath tub to circulate the water and aid arthritis sufferers. From this idea the concept of Jacuzzi tubs was born.

A Jacuzzi tub will fit in any home because it simply replaces the existing tub. The warm water circulating can give relief to tired aching muscles and distress you. They are great for pain relief, relaxation, and rejuvenation. They are one of the hottest holistic health treatments currently used.

You can add essential oils to your tub to add a wonderful relaxing fragrance, you can burn some candles, and play some mellow music. Those that have a Jacuzzi tub swear by them and use them on a daily basis.

So you see with a little creativity you can have your very own home spa system. Think about it! Home from a stressful day at work, or a hard work out at the gym. You can turn down the lights, put on your favorite CD, and as the old commercial use to say “Calgon take me away!” Well these days forget the calgon but you can certainly be taken away!
