Your Office Needs A Wooden Chair

It wasn't that many years ago when an office was made up of a classic wood banker's desk and a traditional wood chair. Modern days with computers have seen our desk styles change but your office still deserves a wooden chair.

There are all kinds of great wooden chairs on the market from the traditional styles to the modern office style. What style you choose isn't nearly as important as the décor to your office.

Whether you choose the traditional bankers chair or a more elaborate version is up to you. The important thing is you are making a choice. Today too many people overlook the importance of an office chair to a productive days work.

But what are your options? Well let's have a look:

1. Executive Chairs - just as the name indicates they are designed for executives. They are ergonomically correct and designed to help eliminate stress but they have a distinctive look that's very appealing to individuals in these positions.

2. Task Chairs - are designed for those that spend their day working in an office. Thus the name “task." These chairs are really affordable starting as low as $25.

3. Home Office Chairs - are designed with a little bit of additional design appeal so as to fit in with your homes décor and look like a real piece of furniture while remaining functional.

4. Conference Chairs - are built for short term use with lower padding on the seat but nothing on the back. These chairs generally don't have anything fancy about them as they are designed for short term use.

5. Guest Chairs - are designed for temporary use by guests that visit your office. They require a place to sit but only for a short period of time so ergonomics and comfort aren't that high on the design list.

6. Stackable Chairs - are not that common these days as foldable chairs have grown in popularity because of their convenience and need for less storage space.

When chair shopping there are a few things to consider:

1. Style - will you choose classic, traditional, antique, or contemporary?

2. Seating Material - will you choose a wood seat, leather or fabric seat?

3. Purpose - how do you plan to use your chair? In the office? In the sewing room? As a guest chair?

When it comes to choosing a wooden chair it all depends on how you plan to use it. What's for certain is that chances are it will outlast you continuing to provide seating for generations to come.
