A couple years ago, the Atlantic was the joke of the NBA. Many pundits cited the paltry division as a prominent reason as to why the NBA should rid itself of division winners and just take the top teams in each conference. However, with Boston's acquisitions of Garnett and Ray Allen last year, and the Sixers procurement of Elton Brand this past summer, the Atlantic will likely boast three playoff teams this season: Boston, Philadelphia, and Toronto.

The current champions of the NBA, the Boston Celtics, converted their 8-consecutive victory by beating the Charlotte Bobcats in a close game 89-84 last Saturday. With this win Boston has an actual record of 16-2 and is leading the Eastern Conference.

NBA - Spurs beat the Grizzlies; Manu Ginobili is back!

After being out for 12 games in this season, Manu Ginobili is back in track and helped the San Antonio Spurs to win the game against the Memphis Grizzlies 94-81. This was the fifth victory of the last six games that they have played so far this season even though the Spurs are still missing Tony Parker. Ginobili played only for 11 minutes but it marked the difference in the game since he scored 12 points.
