    The history of Titanium started in 1791 when it was discovered by William Gregor. It got its name four years later when an Austrian chemist, named Martin Heinrich Klaproth realized this was a new element. Even if many have tried to use the newly discovered metal for making rings, only towards the end of the twentieth century, a company discovered how the metal could be manipulated into making pieces of jewelry. This company, called GETi, now produces, Titanium rings, plain or with stones imbedded in them.
