  • Giving Tarzan His Own Turf
On TV's Man Caves, ex-NFL star Tony Siragusa builds palatial playpens for hubbies pushed to the home decor sidelines.

The Giants’ upset victory in last February’s Super Bowl made Brian Tulloch and his friends deliriously happy. But the next morning, appalled at the state of the living room in their West Orange home, Tulloch’s fiancée, Stacy Settembrino, threw him for a loss.

It may come as no surprise to most that the economy is having a big impact on disposable income. Even with gas prices coming down, many people are still feeling the pinch and having to make decisions on where to spend there money and justify additional, possibly unnecessary items such as entertainment tickets.
  • Our Man in Iraq
Armand Cucciniello will never forget his arrival in Iraq. “It was a sweltering day. I remember stepping off that plane; the heat hits you immediately. I looked up into the sky and saw all this dust...I thought, Oh, my God, I’ve just landed in hell.”

That was late August 2006. Cucciniello, a native of East Hanover, had landed a job as a media analyst for a strategic communications firm under contract with the U.S.-led coalition forces in Iraq. His office would be in the garish confines of Saddam Hussein’s former Republican Palace in Baghdad.
  • Internet Marketing: How to Cope with the Recession of 2009
Some say we are in a recession. Others say we haven’t had any negative growth yet through the 2nd quarter of 2008 and you need 2 consecutive quarters of negative GDP for a textbook recession. The financial and credit markets are predictors of the future and they are telling us that, any way you want to measure it, 2009 will be a year of recession, possibly a big one.
  • Special Weighing Problems solved by Custom Load Cells
Every industrial scale needs a transducer device which will detect the amount of weight being applied and will convert it into an electronic signal. The most common type of electronic scale transducer is called a load cell. It produces a millivolt level analog signal that is exactly proportional to the weight. This low level signal is first amplified, and then converted into a digital number by the circuitry in the digital indicator. The microprocessor within the indicator will process this number in a variety of ways, including linearity compensation and temperature correction. The final value of the digital is then shown on a display screen for use by the scale operator.
  • Alpaca Scales used for Accurate Weight Readings
Alpacas are delightful, gentle 4 footed animals that are known as huacayas or camelids, in the same family as camels. They are originally native to the Andes Mountains in South America, specifically in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Chile. Generally, they grow to be between 120 and 190 lbs, and may be as tall as 3 ft at the shoulder. They tend to be extremely social animals, and generally will only thrive when they are living with other alpacas.
  • CMS (Content Management System) Vs Html Sites
The internet gets more and more competitive each year. More and more businesses are realizing the opportunities of having a website and addressing an endless number of consumers through the online market. It’s no question that only the websites with great design, wide functionalities, and the right tools will make it to the front of the line.
  • Marketing Opportunities - International Events
In an article I read in the Wall Street Journal last week, I realized how important international events are for companies for branding and marketing purposes. Mars has been attempting to increase the advertisement efforts of their candies in China for years. The deal went through when they declared Snickers to be the Beijing Olympic Game’s official chocolate in Summer 2008. They also targeted a specific consumer target, which helped them produce different strategies and gain insights into consumer feelings.
  • Health Concerns over Underwear Materials
Recent news articles reporting skin allergies caused by underwear has brought the issue of textile finishing chemicals to the forefront of not only the fashion industry, but the general media. Comfort in underwear has taken on a larger role to include the health of the wearer in what was once considered an unseen, unmentioned utilitarian item in everyone's wardrobe.
  • Sapori Restaurant in New Jersey Review
Growing up in a village outside Palermo, Franco Lombardo’s grandmother learned two important lessons that she later passed on to him: “If you can make it yourself, why buy it?” and “You put something on the plate, you eat it all.”
  • Eno Terra Restaurant In New Jersey Review
In opening Eno Terra, its new Italian restaurant devoted to locally produced, sustainably farmed foods, the Terra Momo restaurant group might seem late to the “locavore” party. In fact, Eno Terra’s “eat local, drink global” credo actually dates to 2000, when the property was acquired. Then followed seven years of postponements and delays.
  • Creating Environmental Consciousness
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) warns consumers to evaluate carefully environmental claims, such as degradable, recyclable, environment friendly, environmentally safe, on product labels or in advertising. As such, almost all the products that fill up the shelves claim to be "eco friendly", but it seems like this has become a catch-phrase. For instance, if a label says "recycled," FTC recommends checking the percentage of the product or package that is recycled, because unless the product or package contains 100 percent recycled materials, the label must indicate how much of it is recycled.
  • Animal Scales used by Veterinarians
What dosage of medication should be prescribed to an animal? This question must be answered many times each day in a veterinarian office. Humans are usually assigned a fairly standard dosage. An adult may be told to take 2 aspirin. A child should only take one. And a baby may be given a special dosage of baby aspirin. This may not be a very exact system. One adult may weigh only 98 lb. Another may weigh more than 300 lb. Occasionally, a doctor may choose to vary the dosage based on the size of the patient.
  • "Green" Manufacturing of Industrial Scales
There are a wide range of standard industrial weighing scales that serve many requirements. Large loads are accurately weighed on floor scales. Often, forklifts are used to place pallets or totes of material on the scales. Platform sizes may range from a standard pallet size of 4’ x 4’ up to as large as 12’ x 8’ for very large loads. The weight information may be used to determine the shipping weight. Or for incoming purposes, it can verify that the proper quantity of material has been received. Communication options allow this weight data to be directed to a printer, if necessary, to provide a hard copy. Or the data may be entered into a company’s computer system for database or billing purposes.
  • Mommy, Where Do Diners Come From?
From lunch wagons to stone edifices, here’s a quick history of the structure you may be sitting in.

With a giddyup and a creak of wooden wheels, an enterprising Rhode Islander named Walter Scott launched the fast-food era in the late 1800’s. Factory workers in Providence lined up at his lunch wagon, and soon the meals-on-wheels concept spread through New England and south to New York and New Jersey. At some point the wheels came off, the horses went to the glue factory, utilities were connected, signs went up, and the aromas of coffee and frying bacon drew people into the cozy confines of the first diners.

  • Getting People into Seats
If you ask most any arts organization across the country what the number one issue facing them is, you will most always get the same answer. Funding. Generating capital for arts organizations seems to be the biggest issue for everyone, and is an ongoing problem that most all continue to grapple with from year to year and some from production to production.
  • A Dual Approach to Ergonomics in the Office
Properly designed office furniture systems must pair with correct body mechanic practices to help avoid ergonomic disorders including repetitive motion injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis and back injuries.
  • Why Are Most Underwear Made From Cotton?
Cotton is often titled "the fiber of life" and its basic use for generations underscores this. Archeological finds in Peru, Mexico and India suggest cotton has been clothing people for over 5,000 years. In addition to clothing, cotton touches daily life across the world in household textiles, medical and personal hygiene products, cooking oils and animal feeds. Today over 90 countries generate revenue from cotton around the world. What is it about this product that has withstood the test of time, the changing demands of fashion and the transformations in technology?
  • Blackbird Dining Establishment
Chef Alex Capasso’s Blackbird takes wing on nuanced flavors, playful presentation, and attentive service. Would you like shaved black truffles on your entrée? Just say the word.

Standing in the brightly lit, bi-level dining room of his restaurant, Alex Capasso looks like a rock roadie who got lost on his way to the concert. A pharaoh-like beard juts from his chin. The rolled-up sleeves of his pressed white jacket reveal a heavily tattooed forearm.

  • Google Adwords Content Network Is a Gold Mine!
A lot of Pay per Click Gurus tell clients not use the Google’s Content Network because it is filled with Made for Adsense sites and click fraud, which is a huge issue. However, the same Gurus do not say anything about the content network not being able to generate targeted traffic, but it does.
  • The Power of Local Search Services and Google Local
Google and Yahoo both have local search services but many businesses are unaware of this and their potential benefits. Many people do not know that they are free to register and can have huge positive results for their businesses. Once you get your business listed in local services, you will start showing up on their map features like Google Maps and Yahoo Maps.
  • Sweet Deal
The recipe and production process for Old Monmouth Candy Company’s peanut brittle has remained unchanged for 70 years. Just as the peanut brittle has always been made by hand, the Gunther family has retained a hands-on approach when it comes to making and selling all of its candies. The company’s approach to customer service has also stood the test of time.
  • Prospect: Impossible
I received a phone call from a new prospect recently. The first mistake I made was answering the phone. Seriously, the caller was actually ideal for the Paid Search Management Services and Organic Search Engine Optimization Services we provide.

The initial, no-obligation consult, revealed a great deal, all of which, on its face presented a great opportunity for both companies. The facts were pretty clear:
  • How I Do That “Creative” Thing
I have been trying to figure out why recently I’ve been able hit a home run with new projects, when in the past it was difficult to find the “creative” juice I need. I think I’ve figured out what motivates me into digging down into myself and connecting with the universe (life-stream, God, or whatever you believe in that gives you power and motivation), and channeling the energy that fills that blank canvas I am looking at.
  • Search Engines and Socialism
It would be shocking to me, at this point, if Barack Obama is not elected as our next President. It reminds me of the phrase … “be careful what you ask for … you might just get it.”

Consider what Obama and a certain large majority of Democrats in both parties will surely do:

    1. They will raise taxes for BOTH income and Social Security taxes for those earning over $250,000 while providing tax cuts for those earning less. But what he doesn’t tell you is those who pay little or no federal income tax, will receive a check from the government. As he told “Joe the Plumber” in his own words … “Its good to spread the wealth.” It is estimated that 50% of those having their taxes increased own their own small business. So, 50% of those credited with providing 90+ percent of all new jobs in the US, are going to have less money because Obama feels that we need to spread the wealth; he knows who it should go to and in what amount. What he also doesn’t tell you is that some of those getting a check from the government are much more likely to lose their jobs due to the anti-growth effect of a tax increase on the most successful. This is blatant socialism. It is awful the resurgence of the Welfare State … I call this Obama’s “Surge.”
  • Nintendo’s Marketing & Innovation Comeback
For those growing up with a video game control in their hands, Nintendo has been the boldest, groundbreaking innovator of fun. With Nintendo 64, the company established their superior creativity, launching tittles such as Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Mario 64 and Super Smash Bros, guiding many individuals to the title of “hardcore gamers”, who, by adopting this new identity, have learned to expect more flawless products with each new product innovation. Simply put, Nintendo is the true leader of video game entertainment. Those committed to the company experienced rough times throughout the transition to the Game Cube, where, the Playstation 2 began their reign of the “hardcore gamer” market by launching more advanced and graphic-based games such as Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy. Consequently, many gamers surrendered their nostalgic bond with Nintendo and embraced the more aesthetically pleasing competition.
  • Dune Restaurant in New Jersey
Dining at the Shore brings a certain anticipation: nautical décor, open-air tiki bar, large platters of standard seafood and steaks delivered by no-nonsense waiters.

Dune, on the other hand, throws you a change-up. From the moment you enter the small, unassuming restaurant showered by the neon lights of its neighbor, the Margate Dairy Bar, you sense this will be different, beginning with the warm greeting from owner Nick Weinstein and the sign over the dining room entrance, “Be nice or leave.” By the time you do skidoo, you have dined on superior preparations of fish and meat, and perhaps gotten a little food education as well.
