    Deciding whether or not acupuncture is right for you is largely a personal decision. Although there has been some indication that acupuncture can be effective for pain management in a number of scenarios, the effectiveness of acupuncture is still largely inconclusive. The number of variables involved coupled with the difficulties in administering placebo treatments has made it difficult to determine whether or not acupuncture is truly effective as a form of treatment. Despite the lack of conclusive documentation regarding acupuncture, many more Americans each year are undergoing acupuncture treatments for a variety of reasons. There are a number of factors that contribute to a decision to opt for acupuncture as a form of treatment. Some of these factors include believing that the treatments will provide relief, not being fearful of needles, understanding your affliction and finally a desire to improve your condition.
